Job Description:
The Dean of the College of Engineering reports to the Provost and has overall responsibility for academic leadership and administration of the College of Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a clear vision for the future of engineering institutions and professions in the UAE and beyond.
- He/she should have a strong track record in research and a demonstrable commitment to research and teaching excellence.
- He/she should be committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of university and college business, with sensitivity to cultural differences, and have a proven record of success as an academic administrator.
Job Requirements:
- Full Professor with a minimum of 15 years of responsible education-related experience including 5 years of academic leadership in higher education.
- Strong track record in teaching reflecting academic excellence.
- Strong track record of research, publications, and citations.
- Ability to build collaborations and partnerships with other top universities globally.
- The minimum qualifications for this position include: ⢠Ph.D. in Engineering of an appropriate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with education from pre-eminent institutions of higher education.
