Job Description:

The job holder manages the overall coordination and evaluation of Fixed Asset related activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records.
  • The job holder is required to effectively contribute in managing Asset portfolio by reviewing and validating the Fixed Assets purchases as per approved budgets and as per Authority Matrix.
  • Prepare various reports including asset and depreciation schedules and reports to help the Finance Manager/Sr. Finance Manager in managing the Asset portfolio including projects and Capital Work In progress.
  • Perform professional accounting activities; oversee and perform complex reconciliations and analyses;
  • Ascertain the accuracy of Fixed Asset standard files and post information for assigned accounting activities into the Asset ledger and general ledger

Job Requirements:

  • Time management and workload efficiency skills
  • Ability to delegate duties, tasks and reports. Experience in the use of data entry programs
  • Minimum 5 years in the area of Finance
  • Being conversant with internal control procedures and concepts
  • Persistence in finishing projects in spite of hindrances
  • Graduate in accounting or commerce or equivalent
