Job Description:
Design, calculations, detailing and management of structural activities for new built, retrofit & conversion projects. Preparing documents and drawings for classification society and client.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and approve structural design proposals.
- Supervise the work of CAD designers and contractors to ensure quality standards and design criteria are met.
- Undertake structural design and lifting calculations based on agreed project schedule or approved work request.
- Conduct design review meetings to assure that technical objectives are being achieved.
- Preparation of documentation for approval of Class and statutory bodies.
- Liaison with Client in order to assure that all technical/engineering requirements are met.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of additional languages is added advantage.
- Technical knowledge of installation and commissioning of structural items.
- Very good knowledge in technical terms and report writing skills.
- Fully trained and knowledgeable with relevant Safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards.
- Must be fluent in English.
