Job Description:

The Accountant-Payroll performs the day-to-day activities in the payroll and related function within the Finance Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend to employee queries regarding salaries, deductions and paystubs.
  • Update payroll files and reconcile payroll with the general ledger.
  • Prepare and maintain various variance analysis reports as required by the management.
  • Reconcile banks on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with the Employee Services Department.
  • Prepare and reconcile all payroll advances with movements.
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law.
  • Maintain accurate records of benefits and indemnity as required by the management for internal/statutory audit purposes.
  • Verify data and enter deductions and earnings to ensure accurate and timely monthly processing of payments to employees.
  • Calculate and prepare final settlements/end-of-service benefits.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Organized, logical and thorough in the execution of the function.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook with competency in spreadsheets.
  • Master’s degree in finance/accounting.
  • 6-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Deadline-oriented person with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge on payroll processing, deductions and regulatory submissions.
